War Child

At each performance there will be a collection for the charity War Child. I’m also raising money by other events and sometimes through gigs by Break a Leg!

When considering what charity to support it was clear that War Child has a particular focus on giving direct support to victims of war, and is working in the most challenging war zones around the world

You can make a donation to War Child via the ‘Remember Them Tonight’ Just Giving page

NB, International Red Cross. Originally it was my intention to raise money for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and our first collection was for them. However it’s not possible to set up a donations page for this project with ICRC and contributions to ICRC don’t get the benefit of UK tax relief which adds quite a lot to the money going to the charity. So I have switched to supporting War Child and there will be a record of contributions publicly available on the Just Giving page.

Our Donation history (Total to date £456)

£99.00: 12 June 2015, Street Coffee again. Part of the Great Nether Edge Yard Sale

£138.70: 13 November 2014, Performance at Harland Cafe Sheffield, collection and donation by the cafe.
Donated to War Child

£71.00: 9 November 2014, street coffee back by popular request. This could make more money for War Child than our gigs! Less than last time because a lot of people came without change in October and were embarrassed to ask for it.
Donated to War Child

£125.92: 5 October 2014, no gigs this month so I did a popup coffee bar for our neighbours who were more than generous
Donated to War Child

£21.05: 6 August 2014, collection at Strip the Willow, Sheffield
Donated to the ICRC Syria Appeal
